Our wish is that creators who use the Legends platform get discovered by more fans than anywhere else, have more governing freedom with their creative process, and earn better pay for their work.
For story lovers, we wish for more immersive experiences, easier discovery, production participation, and even a chance to earn some income.
We want to create a framework for production that will enable the creation of a worldbuilding ecosystem where value is given when value is due. That's what the Legends application is all about. We will also respect your freedom of speech.

5 PHASES OF DEVELOPMENT
Legends 1.0 will be developed in 5 phases.
Phase 1 - Creator / Patron Social Platform
Phase 2 - Story Origination
Phase 3 - Book Layout Builder / Experience Mode
Phase 4 - Story Bank / Crowdfunding Tiers
Phase 5 - Team Building
Each Phase has its own budget and each budget will have it's own crowdfunding goal.
We have set our first crowdfunding goal at $25,000, which will give us enough funding to develop Phase 1 of the StarScript Legends story production platform.
Each Phase of production will be made available to contributors according to which Crowdfunding Tier they contribute to.
Access to the Legends platform will only be given to contributors until all 5 phases of production are complete and StarScript Officially Releases it to the public.

FEATURES
Users of the Legends platform will be able to originate stories or participate in stories originated by others. A user who originates a story is called the Originator. Upon origination, the Originator will choose a governing structure for their production, and begin to build out the story profile page.
The story profile page will often be the first point of contact for prospective patrons interested in subscribing to the story and for prospective creators interested in contributing creative works to the story. It will display story previews, contributing creators, crowdfunding tiers, job submission openings, and more.
There are different types of stories that can be originated on Legends. Novels, graphic novels, comic books, concept albums, and many diverse mixed media productions are expected to emerge.
Relevant Development Phases: Phase 2 and 4
We are designing a financial structure for story production that enables multiple users to collectively contribute to an income-generating production.
Every story that is originated on the Legends platform will have its own Story Bank. Patrons will make monthly contributions into a story's Story Bank in exchange for access to features of that story. Story features can include single media to multi-media productions, story Lore (wiki), discussions, and even production voting rights.
All users contributing creative works to a story will automatically be paid from that story's Story Bank on a monthly basis according to that story's Story Terms.
Relevant Development Phases: Phase 4 and 5
Producing a story can be a lot of work. It often requires many different resources, and a diverse array of skill sets. Rather than doing all yourself, why not build a team? From Phase 1, Legends is set to offer a creator/patron social platform so users can scout out other talent, get connected, and collaborate with one another to form income-generating stories.

Governance is a vital element to any successful production. Legends is designed to let technology do the heavy lifting and automate the commercial process as much as practical so that creators can focus on what they do best.
A story's Originator will start off with absolute power over that story's production decisions. These production decisions are basically governing powers. The power to allocate shares of a story's Story Bank, and the power to control which creative works become part of a story are some to name. The Originator will be able assign one or more of these governing powers to one or more users or classes of users. For instance, the story's writers may govern who writes each chapter and when recruitment for more writers is necessary.
When more than one user has control over a specific governing power for a story, Legends will give users the ability to have discussions and vote in order to execute. Users will be able to utilize Legends features to propose their production ideas to their team clearly to enable more effective storytelling.

No matter what medium of storytelling you are using, creating a story can be complex. It can be especially complex when working with a team of creators who are all playing different roles in production. Legends will start with a few worldbuilding tools to help facilitate story creation and production itself.
Book Layout Builder - This builder will be used to construct the layout of each chapter of a story. With this builder governing users will be able to design where images, text, sound, and other media appears when Patron's experience the story.
Story Board Builder - This builder will be used to visualize the order of events for a story and communicate that vision to governing team members.

Relevant Development Phases: Phase 3 and 5
The production of a Legends story is an ongoing process. It may consist of tens to hundreds of creative works by multiple creators, many of which are produced at different points in time. The production timeline helps a story's governors communicate to their team and patrons about which creative works are being produced and what phase of production each creative work is in.
There are 4 phases of production, each of which are represented by phases in the moon. The 4 phases are Submissions, Voting, Editing, and Publication.
Relevant Development Phase: Phase 5
Legends is designed to be an ecosystem where creators and story lovers work together to build immersive stories. From Phase 1, both creators and story lovers will be able to create a personal profile which they can use to showcase their participation and interest in productions.
The network will consist of many attributes common to social platforms like friending, following, private messaging, and content sharing. What's different about Legends is that all of these social functions work together to achieve common goals--story production, sharing, and experiencing.

Legends would not be complete without offering new and unique storytelling experiences.
When becoming captivated by a story, we seek out different ways in which we can deepen our connection with it. We research the creators, participate in social media discussions, visit the story wiki, buy merchandise, and even create some fan art. The StarScript Legends development team wanted to create a single space where all of these experiences could take place. We thought patrons would like to have all of these extra features at their fingertips while they are reading, listening, or watching a story.
Patrons can also play a vital role in whether or not a story actually becomes and remains sustainable. In light of this fact we are creating new ways in which patrons can engage with the story creators. Patrons will be able to give effective production feedback and may even vote on certain production decisions, giving them a greater connection to the story itself.
